The 14th Houghs Neck annual Chowdafest will be held on Saturday September 8th from 2-6pm. at the Hough Neck Maritme Center. The great festival features chowder from 20+ local restaurants and a dozen individual contestants.  Admission is $5.00 per person

Blend formerly Peggy’s O’Neil’s Pub, Cafe Maddie, Cagney’s Restaurant & Pub, The Chantey at Marina Bay, Common Market Restaurants, Craig’s Cafe, The Daily Catch Seaport, The Fours Restaurant & Sports Bar, Fox & Hound Wood Grill and Tavern, Fuji at WoC – JP Fuji Group, Gennaro’s Eatery, PORT 305, The Irish Pub, Tony’s Clam Shop, Victory Point, Wheelhouse Diner and Wood Road Deli.

Each $5.00 admission is entitled to sample each chowder and cast one vote per catagory for their favorite chowder.

Located along the Quincy waterfront with great views of the Boston Harbor Islands National and State Park, free boat rides are provided by the the Quincy Police Marine Unit. Live music by the The Danny Gallagher Band, a cash bar featuring products from Burke Distributors, and local non-profit organizations selling alternative food and beverages, this event is fun for the whole family. Proceeds benefit the Houghs Neck Community Council; an all volunteer, nonprofit organization that has, for fifty-four years offered programs and events to Houghs Neck residents.
