The place: Fisher‘s pub, Middleboro

The good: My Mother’s birthday is March 1 and she asked me about a week ago if we could go to Fishers for her birthday. Of course I said yes because one: it’s her birthday and that’s where she wanted to go, and two: this could tie in with my 52 in 52! That is a win! Find out where to eat free on your birthday

We arrived for lunch and were greeted by a lovely hostess who seated us and she obliged my wish to have a table instead of a booth.

Our waitress, promptly came over and introduced herself and asked if we would like to start with drinks. Gingerale, Lemonade and water with no lemon, please!

She brought the drinks back and we ordered barbecue chicken wings along with a cup of clam chowder because I’ve heard so many people say how wonderful it was there. Well let me tell you… You all were not lying! It was thick, creamy and flavorful. I added a tad of salt to taste but it was nice and thick, the way I like it.

The wings were reminiscent of Harry’s, big, plump and juicy.

My parents, decided to share a meal because neither one of them eat a lot when we do go out. Plus we all had a little bite of the clam chowder and chicken wings so they weren’t terribly hungry.

They ordered ALBATROSS BROILED SEAFOOD TRIO which consisted of Haddock, shrimp & sea scallops with sweet potato fries and fresh green beans. They chose garlic butter as the the flavor for the meal.

I opted for the Delta Air Philly cheese burger which was on their daily special. HUGE 8oz cheese burger with fried onions and provolone cheese that was cooked to perfection! Bun was super fresh! I don’t care for mushrooms or peppers so I had them omit them. One of the absolute BEST burgers I have eaten in a while! My burger came with fries that had so much potato flavor in them, I was blown away!

Our server was extremely attentive but not overbearing and she anticipated the needs of our table which I thought was huge! There were no empty glasses sitting on the table there were no dirty dishes waiting to be cleared, and she also brought out a piece of Boston cream cake (my request) and had all the waitresses sing to my mom!

I just have to tell you all that I had such an INCREDIBLE experience!!!!

I noticed one thing while I was sitting there, everybody that works there, all worked together! And everybody was either busy cleaning, or serving.

From the service which was bar none some of the BEST I have ever had in a restaurant, to the food that was so perfect, it literally brought tears to my eyes! I am not even kidding you all.

In closing, there is no bad or ugly here at all. I absolutely cannot wait to go back and try the chicken croquettes that my friend was eating and her friends at the table were eating chicken Parm that looked really good too!
