The Tipsy Toboggan

*Toboggan Ten Winter Garden Reserve menu is an igloo reservation exclusive only!*
Outside temperature was 40 but inside the igloo was probably 55-60. Seating was comfortable and there was no extra charge for the igloo. The service was great… the hostess and our server were so friendly! My wife got the New England Cod with mashed potatoes and asparagus. All were excellent. I went for a tomato and chicken sandwich which came with seasoned fries. The chicken was a little drier than I prefer but the flavor was great. An aioli sauce gave it a bit of a kick. The serving was much bigger than I could eat but I tried my best.
For beverages we tried the brown ale from Canned Heat brewery, which is now owned by Tipsy Toboggan, so they’ll be having this line on tap going forward. The beer was quite tasty, albiet a little pricey. Overall a good experience; definitely would go back if we’re in the area. —

We spent the evening in the igloo at Towne Tavern and Treehouse and have to say it was one of the best experiences we have ever had at a restaurant. Our server Kim M was absolutely amazing. We had calamari, spinach flatbread and Brussels sprouts to start and then the rice bowl, Nashville chicken Sandwich and Big Mac pizza (although it’s called something else). Finished with all 4 of their desserts and everything was absolutely perfect! If you haven’t been here you need to make your way down there! Fyi igloos you need to book well in advance!
Not one to normally post but I need to talk about our brunch experience today at Town Tavern & Treehouse in Pembroke. We went for New Year’s brunch and dined in one of their igloos. The weather was perfect for igloo dining. The brunch menu and brunch cocktails selection is beyond fantastic. Our server Ally was attentive but not invasive and gave us time. She seemed to know right when we needed something. Dave knows how to do it right! Four of us had brunch, a couple of drinks each and the bill was so reasonable. There is a $150 minimum to reserve the outdoor igloos which is more than reasonable. We thought our bill was going to be twice that to be honest. No pictures because we dove right in! It was delicious and cooked perfectly. If you haven’t been there, I highly recommend giving it a try. (Igloos require a reservation. Not necessary for inside).

We joined some friends at Riverhouse tonight for the Igloo experience. The set up is adorable, with fireplaces and space heaters in each igloo, and fairy lights all around. (A sweatshirt or lap blanket is advised for us cold natured folk) My hot-natured Honey wore shorts and a sweatshirt.
We were seated promptly by our server Cyndi who is not just great at her job, but funny and personable and really coordinated!! She unzipped our igloo with a full tray of drinks and didn’t spill a drop!
We have decided this needs to be a regular event, as we were in our own little bubble free to laugh as loud as we wanted to without bothering other diners. We fogged the igloo! Taunton folks added to the fun with a few fireworks. (They got their checks – wink) I guess being cooped up and finally seeing friends has made us silly. Cyndi added to the fun, and her support team made it a smooth service experience.
GO to the Riverhouse. Experience inside, then do the Igloo.
