Where to Dine on the Hull Nantasket WaterFront Jake’s Seafood

Sharing is caring!

Jake’s has been serving award winning fresh seafood for over 50 years in Hull. It was a family affair when Jake’s opened for business in 1949. They are a seasonal (open April-November) restaurant located in beautiful Nantasket Beach directly on the water! They also feature a full service seafood market for those wanting to take fresh seafood home and prepare for themselves and offer a full liquor service as well as a kids menu

If you want fresh seafood, fresh tender fried clams, clam chowdah so full of meat that it fills you up and true authentic Lobstah Bisque – Jakes is the place to go. It’s a hidden gem that has been in Hull for many years.

If you haven’t been to Jake’s at Nantasket Beach, you must go!!!! It is by far the best place for fresh fish!!!! It is always packed so be prepared to wait a bit but it is worth the wait. Our group had baked haddock which was delicious. It was baked (almost broiled) with a light sprinkle of crumbs on top. Not overpowering at all. Not like some of the places that put the haddock in a dish, drench it with butter and breadcrumbs. Another great dish was the swordfish, melted in your mouth. And try the zucchini shrimp. Really really good. The service is great too. They have ample staff to move the crowds so you don’t have to wait forever to get served. A must try in you’re in the neighborhood.

Tried a new restaurant tonight. Jakes seafood in Hull. Food was delicious. We were a party of 4. We all had some type of seafood and everyone loved their meals. I had the shrimp skewers. Delicious. The setting is perfect. Waterview from every table. Average price but definitely worth the ride. It’s behind the carousel.

When I go to the beach at Nantasket, I always pick up really fresh fish/seafood at Jake’s market. Their lobster bisque (my favorite)and clam chowder are really good too and they sell it at their market in qt containers.

I’ve eaten there before with a friend. It was last summer, had to wait a long time for a seat and just as sun was setting we got a table by the window. Great view of sunset and the boats coming and going to the restaurant. Food was very good. I’d go there again in a heartbeat
