For 40 years, the Lobster Hut, located right on Town Wharf in the heart of historic waterfront  Plymouth, Massachusetts, has been an icon of the area. From its classic red, glowing  Lobster Hut sign to dining that has become known as seafood at its best , this is more than a simple dining experience, its a piece of seaside Americana.

Lobster Hut – Seafood dining at its best in Plymouth MA Back in the early 1970’s, the Lobster Hut was little more than a small stand that sold a few items. However it wasn’t  long before both locals and tourists alike started clamoring for more of the fresh off the boat  seafood they were serving. Today, that which was once only a humble list of items has grown to a menu of over fifty. The Lobster Hut has even been voted as America’s  Hometown favorite in the area of Best Seafood.

Fisherman’s platter for two and a stuffed quahog from the Lobster Hut in Plymouth last nite. Shared by ne, my wife and a young man visiting us from France. We the Pilgrim tour in Plymouth. The seafood was fresh, plentiful and delicious.

Seafood! My wife and I dined at the Lobster Hut at the Plymouth waterfront last night. It closes for the winter on sunday. We ordered the seafood platter for two with an order of onion rings. The food was hot and plentiful. Two good sized pieces of fish, sea scallops, shrimp and whole belly clams (extra cost). The food was fresh and delicious. I love onion rings and the Lobster Hut’s are hand cut, sweet and satisfy this onion ring lover’s craving. The batter is light and not greasy. Although popular with the tourists in the summer and crowded, my wife and I have never been disappointed with quality of the seafood.

My husband and I decided to take a ride to Plymouth last name night. After walking around for awhile we decided to find something to eat. Everywhere was crowded. Some very loud which my hubby does not like. Ended up at lobster hut. I was a bit skeptical at first. Ordered our food and sat outside by water. When food came out I was glad we came her. I got the lobster roll,  and very good toasted roll stuffed with lobster just the right amount of mayo. Husband got clam strip roll with fries looked very good and there was nothing left so I guess he enjoyed it.

My husband and I found ourselves in Plymouth. For us, for seafood in Plymouth there is no other choice than Lobster Hut. Line wasn’t bad – moved quickly, we ordered fried clam strips, 2 cups of chowder, a jumbo lobster roll and 2 drinks to the tune of $45. It has gotten more and more expensive – as I know everywhere has but the portions have also gotten smaller and smaller. The food was outstanding but I’d have to question the amount for what you get..

The best seafood eatery in Plymouth by far. Ive been going there for over 15 years and will do so for 15 more. Its the only place i eat when i go to Plymouth, especially in the spring and summer when you can eat and overlook the harbor and the boats coming in. The lobster roll is a must and a seafood platter for 2 is also great. I would recommend Lobster Hut to everyone and anyone.

Been to lots of seafood establishments throughout New England and by far the fisherman’s platter here should be the states dish . Lots of bang for the buck

Lobster Hut has  the most delicious seafood.  my family  enjoyed fantastic lobster rolls, fried seafood, and absolutely beautiful  views of the harbor. In the fried seafood platter, everything was cooked perfectly: the scallops were nice and tender, the fish was flaky, and everything was crisp, golden brown. It also comes with nice and crunchy fried clams and fried shrimp, coleslaw, and french fries.

The Lobster Hut is one of my favorite seafood spots on the South Shore.   Everything is so fresh. I always get the clam strips which are hands down the best I’ve had, but the broiled seafood is great as well. They also have options for non seafood fans as well.  The tables are always clean and staff is always friendly. It’s not fancy by any means but it’s perfect for a quick meal.

I ordered a lobster roll and crab cakes. The food was ready in 5 to 10 minutes. What more can I really say though..It. was. DELICIOUS. The roll had a lot of lobster meat, enough to ooze out of the roll when taking a bite!  The inside of   has such a home-y atmosphere! It looks traditional, but feels really comfortable. Great service!

Very good fried seafood, scallops, shrimp and clams being exceptional. Seafood platter easily feeds 2 or 3. We visited when the weather was 55 degrees but indoor seating kept us warm.
Since Lobster Hut is on the wharf we did not expect to be so delighted.

My husband and I share the fishermen platter every time we go and it’s perfect for two people. The breading they use is out of this world good. We love this place so much.
