Nellie Rose in Whitman  which opened in December 2015  has had postive buzz with Swampies even hosting the first and only Swamp Mob breakfast.
My husband and I tried Nellie Rose in Whitman for breakfast today. The reviews have been good in here and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious, cooked perfectly, and the place was charming and cozy! Two thumbs up!
This morning I tried Nellie Rose Restaurant in Whitman for the first time, and it was a good experience. I had the Nellie’s Favorite Breakfast dish, which consisted of two eggs, home fries, home made corn beef hash, and corn bread. The food was good and so was the service. I will be going back there because there were many things I want to try. They also serve lunch.
Went to Nellie Rose for breakfast this is the third time we’ve gone there and it was tasty as usual! I just have a couple things that I found to be out of character for Nellie Rose, the hash was a little mushy today, but otherwise tasty. The home fries were a little bit harder than I like them but the flavor was good. The other thing that gets on my nerves at any restaurant is when the waitresses are too attentive, we had 3 different girls taking care of us, and it seemed like every 30 seconds we had someone asking if we’d like more coffee when we hadn’t even started the cup in front of us. Other than that it was good as always. I had the veggie omelette with home fries, rye toast and a side of hash, I started with a pistachio muffin which was tasty. My mom had Nellies favorite which she said was excellent as usual. My step mom had a 2 egg breakfast with hash browns that could’ve spent another minute or two on the flat top. Overall it was pretty good and of course we’all be back!
Today I went back to Nellie Rose’s in Whitman. I really can’t get enough of that place LOL. My mom wanted to take her cousin out for her birthday for breakfast so of course I had to tag along haha.I got the “scrambler”. It was fluffy eggs, fried peppers and onions, potatoes and your choice of cheese, I got American. Of course I had to get their grilled corn bread again vs toast, they give that option at no extra cost….. I suggest, get the corn bread!
Both my mom and her cousin got eggs and hash. They also had the hash browns and naturally the corn bread. Both my mom and I were saying the scrambled eggs are exceptionally good. I don’t know what they do to them but they’re so GOOD! I got another flavored iced coffee (mocha cinnamon swirl, I think???) Haha I can’t remember, that was hours ago but I do know I loved it!
I almost forgot about the pancake! It was very good AND they give you REAL butter for it! That shows its a good place.
The staff their are all so pleasant.
