Liv was born through nightly meetings after a long shifts at work – chef Tom as a cook and a Maureen as a bartender. Each night reinventing the way restaurants invite and inspire customers through creative cuisine. Over glasses of wine and a shared plate the couple held onto this dream of bringing people together with delicious organic food.
Years later the couple married, had their beautiful daughter Olivia, and the dream was reignited. Chef Tom and Maureen taught Olivia to cook and realized family and friends were gathering around their table. So they turned Liv into a reality and are ready for their family to host yours.

Rabbit cassoulet at Liv in Marshfield on Saturday night. Excellent meal for a decent price, $14.00. It’s not always on the menu as they are a fresh locally sourced restaurant so they run specials every weekend. Everyone there is super friendly and all the food looked great
We went to Liv last night in Marshfield. I didn’t get a photo of the app because we were starving! But we got the general tsao calamari. Never would I think that sauce and calamari would go together. But it was delish! I got the steak. A teres major cut: perfectly cooked with blue cheese. The broccoli was perfectly cooked still had a bite to it with garlic. My boyfriend got the bbq pork belly with kimchi and scrimp friend rice and he loved it. The outdoor area was cozy and the waitstaff was very nice and attentive and full of suggestions. We brought our four year old there too and she got a grilled cheese and fries. It was definitely a way fancier grilled cheese than she was used to and I was nervous but she ate it and said it was the best grilled cheese and she loves the tiny fries. All around a great experience

Wonderful lunch at LIV Creative Cuisine in Marshfield. The restaurant inhabits the space where Hola used to be in the Library Plaza. For those who miss Hola, there are still tapas style choices, but Chef Tom has brought his own flair. It was a perfect day to sit on the patio, and there is a fireplace and a standing heater for brisker weather. We shared the amazing corn chowder topped with, plump, lightly fried oysters on a bed of mashed potatoes. I didn’t think anyone could do fried oysters as well as The Oysterman in Duxbury, but LIV brings it. We also tried the “grilled cheese” tomato bisque, a creamy soup with a grilled cheese sandwich cut up and served as croutons. This was an elevated version of a favorite guilty pleasure. Who doesn’t love grilled cheese dunked in tomato soup? My friend had the farm burger, topped with bacon and a perfectly cooked egg, which dripped satisfyingly when he cut into it. This is a knife and fork burger, as the bottom of the brioche bun was a meal in itself, soaked with mingled drippings of yolk and high-quality beef. The cocktails are creative and irresistible, named for Shakespeare plays. We tried the As You Like It, a take on a Manhattan. We opted for the bacon bourbon which, imho, sounds better than it tastes. We also tried the Prickly Margarita, made with Prickly Pear and delicious. I’m told they should keep with the Shakespearean theme and call it the Taming of the Shrew. Hmmm. If you are lucky enough to get Keith as your waiter, you’ll leave feeling well fed and as if you’ve made a new friend.
