Chef Series with June Somers of Mom On The Go Food truck Abington MA
What goes on behind the scenes of a restaurant, what inspired your favorite chef or owner to get into the restaurant business! What’s their favorite tool and what do they LOVE for comfort food!
Today we meet June Somers owner and chef of Mom On The Go Food truck. Mom On The Go is Boston’s go to when it comes to home cooked meals on the go. It’s a food truck run by a marvelously maternal team, committed to hand crafting that childhood favorite grilled cheese with adult sensibilities and gourmet ingredients you won’t find anywhere else. You’ll find nothing but mouth-watering homestyle cooking that brings you right back to your childhood just like the way mom used to make.

At Mom On The Go, you’ll find authentic grilled cheese dressed just about any way you can imagine it. Go with the classic outfitted with American cheese on toasted bread for nostalgia’s sake, or treat yourself to the grilled cheese version of a loaded baked potato: stuffed with cubed baked potatoes, cheddar and scallions with a side of sour cream for the dipping. Not to mention their irresistibly sweet seasonal specialty featuring sliced granny smith apples, brie and homemade cranberry compote. Drool worthy? Absolutely. Find Mom On The Go cruising in Boston, or have ’em out to cater your next event. It’s like Mom’s cooking, only better.
Mom on the Go has also now has a take out place in Abington on centre St. The Grab & Go kitchen will be open Wednesdays from 10am-6pm at 123 Centre Ave

I recently purchased the Comfort Food Meal from Mom for my family of 5. We ate it for dinner AND lunch the next day and still had some leftovers. Tons of delicious food that I didn’t have to cook! Price was reasonable too. Thanks Mom on the Go!
We had them yesterday for a graduation party and it was absolutely perfect!!! The price was very affordable, the food was amazing. I would highly recommend them for any function!!!!
The bread is buttery and melts in your mouth with the cheese. I got the apple, bacon, and cheddar version which all together was delicious.
