Chef Series with Chandra Gouldrup The Farmer’s Daughter North Easton
What goes on behind the scenes of a restaurant, what inspired your favorite chef or owner to get into the restaurant business! What’s their favorite tool and what do they LOVE for comfort food!
Today we will meet Chandra Gouldrup of the Chef and Owner of the Farmer’s Daughter in North Easton. The Farmer’s Daughter opened her doors in June of 2013 and has become a local restaurant favorite in for Farm to Table unique creative comfort food. She has since opened another location in Sudbury MA.
Upon relocating to Easton with her husband, Brian, Chandra began exploring potential locations to bring her dream to life. The spark of creative energy ignited when they discovered a quaint diner just down the street from their new home. However, their patience and perseverance were truly put to the test, as seven years elapsed before the space became available. Once it was in their hands, there was no delay, and with a comprehensive gut and renovation to align with Chandra’s meticulous vision.
Since its inception, affectionately known as The Daughter, the establishment has been serving guests with distinctive and creatively crafted comfort food. This commitment reflects the mission initially inspired by her family during childhood gatherings around the table.

I always love to visit The Farmer’s Daughter when I’m in MA visiting my family. There are always fun/creative specials, everything is always so fresh, their coffee/lattes are so good! I have trouble not ordering the eggs benny each time bc it’s just so good!
This place is warm and very friendly staff. My daughter brought me here for my birthday the food is delicious. Thank you for the birthday treat of the Blueberry Cheesecake Crunch from the owner.
Went to the Farmer’s Daughter in Easton for the 1st time on my birthday because I was dying to go here and it was well worth the wait!!! EVERYTHING WAS IMPRESSIVE! From the service to the food! FANTASTIC!!
We went for the first time this past Monday for Breakfast brunch . We had an hour wait (crazy on a monday) but it was definitely worth it. The most wonderful brunch and cocktails. Large portions were amazing. Staff was friendly and attentive. 5 star plus.
Amazing food, best breakfast we’ve ever had. Service was fast at the bar, and we felt very comfortable. Atmosphere was beautiful! Definitely worth the wait, the drink selection is amazing, especially the non alcoholic section. Wonderful wonderful place, worth the drive!
We hardly ever go out for breakfast and live over an hour north of here but we heard about it from some friends and loved it! We sat at the counter and had a great server. I had Avo-egg and my husband had the omelet special. Both were delicious and we treated ourselves to fresh squeezed orange juice.
The Farmer’s Daughter is so warm welcoming. The high ceilings, and nearly floor to ceiling windows result is a very open airy environment. The staff was uniformly cheery and eager to to be of service. Everyone was genuinely friendly. A board identified the source of each of the ingredients found on the menu all produce came from local farms. The presentation was beautiful, and special requests were handled accurately, and with a smile.
I had the skinny chick omelet and it was plentiful and delicious. My husband had the normal 3 eggs over easy with turkey sausage. He said it was really good. While waiting he did see other different dishes being delivered and said he should have tried something else.
