What goes on behind the scenes of a restaurant, what inspired your favorite chef or owner to get into the restaurant business! What’s their favorite tool and what do they LOVE for comfort food!

Today we meet Food Truck Owner & Chef Bella Muscolino of Rockin’ Burgers. They are 50s diner-inspired food truck serving the South Shore, MA! Rockin’ Burgers specializes in all sorts of different events across the South Shore. From farmer’s markets and festivals to private parties and corporate gatherings, we can do it all! We will be able to offer drop-off catering to your event, as well as renting the truck out! In 2025 the addition of a take out restaurant in Scituate where you can get all the great burgers.

When did you become interested in cooking?

I became interested in cooking growing up in our family restaurants

What was your first restaurant job?

My first restaurant job was at nine years old in my father’s pizza restaurant, where I would clean the dining room & help with dishes

What culinary training do you have?

I never went to culinary school, but have had cooking experience in the kitchen for 10 years

How long have you been a chef/ owner?

I have owned Rockin Burgers for 2 years now, when I started my entrepreneur journey

What ingredient could you not live without?

I couldn’t live without garlic

What is your current specialty of the house?

Our current specialty this week is bang bang shrimp

What is your biggest selling item?

Our best selling item is our original Smash burger. Which has American cheese, sautéed onions, lettuce, & chipotle aioli

A smash burger is a burger that is made by smashing the ground beef onto the grill or griddle with a spatula. Smashing the burger results in a sear on the outside of the meat, which locks in all of the juices and flavor.

Do you cook at home?

I cook at home occasionally, and love to cook steak & chicken dishes

What is your personal favorite comfort food?

Pizza & wings! I couldn’t not live without this combo
