Anna’s Harborside Grille Plymouth 5th year Anniversary
Congratulations to Anna’s Harborside Grille for celebrating 5 years in business! With restaurant closing so often it is nice to see one that is lasting as long as this one.
Here is some of the Swampie Buzz
I know I have written about Anna’s Harborside in Plymouth before, but they truly have the best food and service around. Their fish tacos are to die for and their outdoor patio is perfect in the summer! Be sure to check them out!
Went to Anna’s Harborside in Plymouth again (our go to restaurant). We tried their special appetizer this evening: the Wild Game Sampler – Venison and Wild Board sausage with blueberry marmalade, chorizo aioli, crostinis and sliced kasseri cheese.
This is one of the best things I have ever had in my dining experiences. Honestly, it was that good. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend checking Anna’s out before this sampler is gone.Lunch today at a favorite Plymouth waterfront spot, Anna’s Harborside. We miss the outdoor
patio, but hold on, summer is coming. So, it was a high top table inside, not my DH favorite, but comfy enough. And, when the food arrives, it immediately focuses attention in the plate, not the location.
I had the fish tacos, three tacos filled with haddock, veggies and sauce. The dish came with sweet potato fries, another favorite. DH is rather set his ways these days and looks to order the same thing he did last time he was here. That’s been going on for quite a while at Anna’s where the roast beef sandwich is always his choice. Of course, he has leftovers too. Today, we used an online voucher but Annas is a place we go whether or not we have a voucher. Service there is top notch, too!First time customers & certainly won’t be the last. Super small place that relies on outdoor square footage to accommodate the masses in their high season. We had 7 pm reservations for four & were seated just before 7:30, as they had ‘lingerers’. The place is small, so what can you do? It was clear the hostess & someone I assumed was a manager, were uncomfortable due to the delay & apologized for the inconvenience. I checked their menu in advance & was aware that this eatery also specializes in Greek food, which again, I don’t fancy. Our table ordered buffalo chicken nachos, steak tips (medium), baked scallops, chicken santorini & herb chicken. Sides were mashed, roasted red bliss taters & a mixed veg of carrots, green beans & red peppers. The nachos platter was large & amply covered in spicy chicken & plenty of cheese, tomatoes & onions. Nice start to the meal. My steak tips were cooked perfectly, tender & tasty & you needed no butter or salt on the mashed. My husband loved his scallops, which had a light dusting of crumb & butter topping. Our friends enjoyed their chicken dishes & 3 out of 4 of us brought food home. No dessert to be had last night, but I did order two of their caramel eggnog cocktails, which were great. Service was good & we’ll definitely go back; with reservations (or at an off time to sit at the bar) & also want to visit their outdoor area. If you’ve yet to go, add it to your list!
Anna’s Harborside in Plymouth was the setting for another wonderful lunch. The roast beef sandwich, as pictured, was compressed a bit to cut in in half, otherwise DH couldn’t handle it. It was topped with BLT and cheese. And, half of it came home for another meal. One of my favorites was on the special menu, lamb wrap, so I couldn’t resist. With a smudge of the Greek dressing (it’s so good that I would welcome a bit more) along with tomatoes, lettuce and onion, it is sooooo good! I had sweet potato fries and he had regular fries. And, we had a a Living Social voucher to eat at one of our favorite places! Service by Jill was excellent!
